John Gillespie is Cofounder and CFO Advisor. He brings 30 years of experience helping nonprofits grow their impact and bottom line as a board treasurer, finance committee member, and fractional CFO. He has advised over 200 nonprofits, from startups to brand names, on strategic forecasting, budgeting, revenue planning, board governance, financial education, and growth best practices. Leveraging in-the-trenches CFO expertise, John advises boards and leaders to grow strategically and achieve their missions providing hands-on, objective expertise in accounting, financial analysis, reporting, operations, and risk management. 

He has authored articles, research reports, and been featured in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, SSIR, Skoll, NonProfit Times, ASAE, Entrepreneur, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times. Additionally, John has served as an advisor and judge for growth plans for the Social Impact Exchange, Social Enterprise Alliance, and Investors Circle. He holds an MBA in Accounting from Boston College and BA in Communications from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
